Prescription Drugs From Canada

Continued

If you are ready to buy - select the size & then click on "buy" and the medication will be added to your shopping cart. Pay attention to the dosage - make sure you select the correct one.

Help your physician write your prescription. Do your research - find the best price for your dosage and the quantities offered. Write this down and take it to the doctor with you. Ask that your prescription be written for a quantity that can be filled by an online pharmacy.

To Order Prescriptions Online you will need:

  • A prescription from your doctor

  • The medical history (brief version) of the person the prescription is for

  • A credit card

  • A photo ID

  • Access to a fax machine - most scanners have a fax utility - check out your software; (Canada Pharmacy accepts prescriptions through the mail - you need to figure this time into how long it will take to get the prescription)

    1. Follow all the directions on the site for placing your order

    2. Print a copy of the medical information you provide

    3. Print a copy of your order

    4. Put all of this in a folder (or in the notebook we're building)

    5. You will be assigned an order number - it must accompany the faxed or mailed prescription

    Ordering Pet medications online

There are several sites, but I found that in my little town, our vet offers better prices than the online sites. This may differ in other cities. Our pets have to have their checkups too, so you really aren't going to cut out the vet bill. Here are some sites you might want to look at:

    http://www.petrx.com/

    http://www.1800petmeds.com/

    Ordering vitamins and supplements online

    - my favorite is Puritan's Pride - they often have special offers - buy two, get three free. This is a good time to get together with friends and neighbors and share the cost. Check them out at: http://www.puritan.com/index.asp?sc=467&ctmc=em

Linda J. Austin writes from experience as a nursing assistance and a family caregiver. "When I was assigned my first hospice case, I found my place in life." Retired from several careers, Linda is studying creative art therapy.
